Mercure Hotel & Residenz Berlin Checkpoint Charlie

Convenient location for mitte Berlin. Close and walkable to many sites. We had an apartment in the hotel which was great to have a kitchenette as we were there 6 days. A supermarket was just a block away. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Room was comfortable and had robes and slippers. Bedding was very comfortable .

The staff and facilities were lovely. We had a nice and large room, and whenever we left the housekeeping sign on the door, the room was promptly attended to by staff. The location was fairly central and near all the tourist attractions (Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburg Gate, Museums, etc.) as well as the Berlin Mall. The bathrooms were very clean, the heating and air conditioning worked wonderfully and we received complimentary drinks and snacks with our stay.

The hotel is in a perfect location. Not far from the city center with all the museums. It's close to the Jewish museum which I highly recommend visiting. The staff was very friendly and responsive to any request from my side. When I had to check out and still had time to spend in the city they stored my luggage. Breakfast was very good. From sweet bakery to cheese, meat, and many more. The coffee was not the perfect Italian quality, but still good enough. The room was spacious and the shower if good looking. The room style is pretty ascetic. In my opinion, missing some decorations.

Loved the new(ish) and shiny and clean surfaces and furnitures at bathrooms, spacious rooms, the fact that we had separate shower and bathtub in bathroom. Hotel was really well soundproofed, we hardly heard any noise coming outside our room. Air condition worked perfectly on rooms. Stuff was really nice, helpful and polite. Felt like they really enjoy working there and try to make guests feel safe and welcome. Breakfast was awesome; something for everyone (incl. kids) and as a tea drinker I give extra points for having actual tea leaves and possibility to infuse it yourself instead of tea bags and boiling hot water only as most hotel breakfast rooms.

We had a very nice stay at the hotel. The apartment was spacious and the layout was very good. The staff were super helpful and always there to help. The location is great(very close to main attractions) and tucked away in a quite corner.
